Herring anyone?

Had my nephew fishing with me quite a few years ago. Set him up jigging herring while I was after blackmouth. All of sudden he starts yelling Uncle Larry Uncle Larry !! I turn around and look and his pole is bent over double and bouncing around and he's hanging on and yelling!! Guessing a blackmouth grabbed his herring and took off with it!! Fun times!!

Jigging herring next to the dock in Petersburg last week.  Salted them all night, and turned them into bigger fish.
Grandkids LOVE jigging herring!
