Cub Scout help?
«
on:
June 25, 2009, 09:59:17 AM »
My wife's uncle just called me and asked if I knew anyone that could help with a cub scout camp teaching proper use of bow and arrow equipment. They have all of the equipment. The event is at Stan Headwall park in Chehalis. The days are scheduled for 6-26-2009 and 6-27-2009. He told me the person they had lined up to teach called this morning and canceled. If they can not find someone to help they would be forced to cancel this part of the camp. I can help on Saturday but I am working on Friday. He would be very grateful for any help. Please P.M. me if you are available.
Thank you,
Jason

If I wasn't working, I think I'd do it since its an emergency. Even clear in Chehalis. I have a lot of fond memories of scouting and the archery range. I hope someone closer can help out.

That's Terrible News!
I wish I could help out, but I have prior commitments for Friday and on Saturday I have to work.
Teaching kids archery is Wonderful! I had a Fantastic time teaching archery at Fire Mountain Scout Camp this week. In fact I have already signed up to do it again next year!

Just to add a little more to your posting:
To teach Cub Scouts or Boy Scouts an Instructor HAS to be Certified By The Scout Council and The Instructor Has to Pass the Child Protection Certification Test!
These rules are Strictly monitored and adhered to in order to protect the boys from Perverts that would prey on them!
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but those rules are there to Protect the kids!

Yeah, I had not thought of that! I try to think that everyone is good. I'll make sure that he knows this info too.
Thank you.
