Riding lawn mower mobile mechanic Arlington ?
« on: April 25, 2025, 08:21:11 PM »
So my craftsman riding lawn mower won’t start. Fired it up and moved it to start mowing. Turned it off to get something and then now it won’t start. Looking for a mobile lawn mower mechanic that will service Arlington

Btw I checked the battery. Replaced the starter solenoid. Checked the fuse. And nothing. Just a click when I turn the key

Simplest (after, got gas):  Gas cap vent closed?  Happened to me the other day.

But sounds like it's not cranking if you're addressing solenoids and such.

First more simpler question.

Does it crank over and not start or no crank/no start?

I have a guy in Monroe who is awesome. Not sure if he’s mobile, but I think he is. Happy to share his contact info.

I have heard many folks using Randys Small Engine Repair out of Granite Falls. Not too far from you. Randy Bevan is his name I believe, at (360) 722-2394.

If it's just clicking when trying to start, I'd double check your battery and connections, both positive and ground side. Did you replace the whole starter or just the solenoid?

Fuel pump wouldn't cause a click and no turn over. If I read his issue correctly; he's just getting a click.

Just had a dumb seat sensor go out on one of mine this spring. For whatever reason it killed the whole thing, even though it runs if you’re not sitting on it if the blades aren’t running. Pretty easy swap once o figured it out, I’d smack that thing around a little or wiggle connections on that.

You can generally trouble shoot a seat sensor by removing from connector and using a small piece of thin firm plastic to jam in between the metal blades on the connector. When they touch it wint let the mower run. Opening the circuit will tell you if your switch is bad if it starts after you do this. I cut a piece of disposable water bottle to use but anything will work.
