Disabled Fishing License
« on: May 11, 2025, 09:06:42 AM »
Who has experience with getting a disabled fishing license? My youngest son is disable due to Muscular Dystrophy, and is Turing 16 this year. I purchased his license this year, because he won't be 16 till later in the year, and was looking at the price difference for next year. Looking at the website there is a form that needs to be filled out by one of his doctors, but my question is does it have to be done every year, or is it a one and done form? He is not interested in hunting right now, but loves to fish!

Any advice from the group, or those that have applied for it?

Thanks

Bob

I have the disabled permit.  It's one and done.  I don't have to renew it.
Hunt hard and shoot straight!

Same here. The doctor has to submit that your son has a permanent disability.

Ok, we have paperwork from Children's for his disability and the one doc we had helped us fill out paperwork for him to get a lifetime pass to all national parks. Never really thought about his fishing license because it has been mostly free until now when he is turning 16. Don't mind the $17 it cost this year, it's the $70 I am looking at for next year. Thanks for the reply

Hey! I'm not a complete idiot I have parts missing. Though sometimes I wonder.

If you want to make God laugh tell him your plans.
