Resetting dash warning lights

Bet you have an ABS fault code hence the trac control and stabilitrac lights as those systems will be disabled by an ABS issue and those warnings come on.
A basic code reader usually wont access ABS codes, you will need an actual scan tool.
Sounds like a hard fault as they wont clear/reset right away when the key is activated (ABS systems run a self check on power up.)

In a nut shell yes. You need someone with a scan tool of a level that can access more systems to see what is activating the fault hence triggering the warning lights. Without the code or codes really cannot diagnose further, you might find a quality (or questionable) shop that may pull codes for you at no charge (not diagnose), from there you will have more info to base what you want to do, diagnose with probable out comes or disregard based on possible out comes.
Those lights are staying on unless the issue is repaired, you remove the bulbs or they burn out   
Im betting on a abs module failure ECU, but im guessing.
You mentioned it was cold out, did a furry friend chew some wires?
Wont be a speed sensor fault as you are not moving.

Can be, depends on what the Manufacture makes easy to access or permissions (Right to Repair does not mean it is easy or cheap to get the info) and the code reader/scan tool quality and abilities.
Some older small scan tools could access alot (not everything) but alot of the newer inexpensive scan tools are very limited.
Repair shops and dealers have scan tools that are in the thousands and require updates to stay current (the harbor freight $35.oo hand held is not updated every year) and can access an incredible amount of data that would blow your mind - manufactures can access data most people don't even know your vehicle keeps track of (crash data for example).

We have a Snap On scan tool that is roughly 9 years old that is outdated and I can’t get it updated anymore and it cost about $8000 when we bought it. I just bought a new one so I can access 2021 in newer cars that cost $5500. My Ford IDS scan tools are probably three times that much money.
This is why it cost money to fix cars.

I also have multiple El cheapo scan tools in my service drive because we will pull code for somebody for free. If they want the problem diagnosed then the car goes in the shop and it cost money.

AFTER the last two times visiting my local mechanic for service, my 1999 F-150 dash showed "Service Engine Soon"....TWICE!!!!! The first time, I checked the air filter and it seemed like the clamp was a bit loose. Put it back together, clamped it down......the warning light was gone. The second time......the same warning light came on within a day......fiddled with the air filter again but that didn't clear it. Went back to repair shop and the technician with his magic decoder determined that there was a firing problem (?) with one of the cylinders......or some such BS......but the boss was away and I had to bring it back later to get it cleared. Went home and just for the hell of it, popped the hood and wiggled and pressed down on all the spark plug wires/distributor cap (if that's what it still is). After performing this advanced act of automotive genius, the warning light was gone. Maybe I need a new mechanic.

 I will give more observations tomorrow but am glad this topic has spurred discussion.

Seem to recall in my too many years as a tech, that somewhere in that general MY GM had issues with harnesses right below the driver floorboard causing ABS issues.  Can't remember if it affected Colorados or not.  Think it was Trailblazers, but essentially the same chassis.

These new vehicles (and appliances) are getting ridiculous with the unwanted technology that cannot be fixed without calling up the dealer and paying them to fix it. Its well known now that it is built into the profit model by the manufacturer that you will have to call them and spend some money to get things fixed. That's sorta what's happening here with my truck. I researched this a bunch before i started this thread and the conclusion I came up with was that i would have to pay someone who has and expensive scan tool to fix this for me.

All my vehicles are in the 1995 to 2010 range and i haven't paid anyone to work on them since 2012. I cannot see spending $50,000+ on a new pickup and then on top of that having to pay someone to fix the simplest stuff. I need my vehicles to get to 300,000 miles at these prices.

The manufacturers have it figured out now to not make appliances last more then 10-20 years at the very most. I just spent a bunch of money to replace a fridge that was less then 20 years old...meanwhile my brother has one in the shop that was made in the early 1950's!!! and my mother still has the one she bout in the early 1980's. My washer and dryer i bought at Sears in 1995 are still going strong and i can fix them, meanwhile i see in forums where folks have problems with their fancy digital ones after a few years.

 I got 20 years out of the AC/Furnace in my house and i spent over $12,000 to replace it and the inspector smirked at me and said to expect to get 10 years out of the new stuff. Am I supposed to save $1000/year just so I can afford a new setup 10 years from now?

I moved into a new house with new appliances 5 years ago and so far, I've had the oven, fridge, furnace, and dishwasher all fail. I was able to fix all but the fridge myself but its terrible how cheaply made appliances are made now. The fridge and freezer in my parent's garage are both 40+ years old with no issues.
