Looking for grouse hunting or pheasant hunting friend
« on: June 04, 2025, 06:48:41 PM »
Hey hunter friends,

It’s been a while and I am looking forward to hunting some birds this season as most friends have stopped hunting. I’m in my early fifties and have done a lot of grouse hunting in Mn. It would be great to have some conversation while flushing the brush. Open to traveling different areas around wa. Grouse , pheasant, chukar duck. Give a shout out to plan some dates if interested. Much appreciated and good luck to all

I always hunted with a good dog, I get to shoot more and he doesn't judge me as hard as when I miss  :chuckle:

Good luck on your upcoming hunts!

Pheasant:  In WA I've only hunted a couple release sites near me.  Done really well at Kosmos.  Not so well at Scatter Creek.  Hunted wild birds in Oregon, South Dakota and California last year.  I need to investigate eastern WA more.

Grouse: Never really hunted them, just a couple ruffed grouse (CA) with pistols when opportunity knocked while driving around.  Interested in pursuing that venture, but hopefully not terribly far from Lewis county.  I've been told there's some rather local west of me, but most indicate east into the Cascades has better prospects.

If you have some places in mind, I'd love to meet-up. First year hunting birds. Hunted big game mostly so would like to get into bird hunting as well. Im willing to travel or split a trip if needed. PM me.
