I’m not sure if bearpaw, the owner of the site has any land that far south but may be worth reaching out. My wife got a decent 4x4 with the tag last year but it wasn’t easy. Good luck

I drew the same tag. Looks like lots of areas with the challenge of finding access.

Good luck or PM if you want to connect. I'll be coming from the opposite side of the state so wouldn't mind knowing a few folks closer in case of issues.  Otherwise, happy hunting with the kid in tow!

I'll be over there as well with my daughter and my wife.

No need to lease, and please don't start that practice.  There's still landowners around there that'll say yes to door knockers and it'd be nice to keep it that way.

Good to know and thanks for the cautionary tale. I'm certainly planning to do a good bit of that so nice to hear some are amiable.

Cool, i hope you get a big one.  I will say, a few years ago the herd got decimated by blue tongue so i won't be surprised if a lot of landowners do say no.  Not because they don't like hunting, but they're used to seeing lots of deer so they may just be allowing family members to hunt.  So you may get more no's than normal but with some persistence i'm sure you can get permission.  It's just been a little tougher than normal.
