One of the local bulls was rubbing the velvet off his horns on a few alders yesterday. I watched him for 20-minutes or so and he had almost all of it off. He's only a small 4-point, and I'm sure his other (2) buddies will be getting after it soon.

Just a little over a month away to calling in screaming bulls....Can't Wait!!!

Saw a five point yesterday in the teanaway that was rubbed off.  Other dozen bulls I saw still had velvet.

Got some trail cam pics today. Nothing too big on camera yet but they are where I want them to be.

I am pretty freaking pumped!

I was in the greater Snoqualmie Pass neighborhood last night picking huckleberries, and the bulls were all fired up!  Had at least six different bulls fire off multiple times, starting about 5:30p until I left about 7:45p.  It was dead calm, they could hear each other from a long ways away.  Seems really early!  So fun to hear.

I'm leaving on Sunday to hunt north of Trout lake by myself. Excited.

Hunting alone can be so satisfying.

I was super impressed by the number of people willing to help you pack out anything you may shoot on the other thread. Unfortunately, I will be 100's of miles away.  What a great thing to see. Go get one!
