I'm going to replace my current 30 gallon Craftsman 110 air compressor with a two stage 230 single phase.  A 60 gallon would probably be fine but this one at Tractor Supply seems to have pretty decent reviews and has an 80 gallon tank and is in my price range. https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/ingersoll-rand-80-gallon-5-hp-reciprocating-air-compressor-3496129?utm_source=google&utm_medium=shopping&utm_campaign=tsc0&adtype=pla&campaignid=21140651701&device=c&product_channel=local&product_id=3496129&store_code=2772&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=21137144858&gbraid=0AAAAADnTm23ThyUaDAG2VHbMv8j9L9qNH&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI44n4uOuFjwMVNx6tBh33pDWOEAQYAyABEgL0YfD_BwE

I've been looking at and researching different ones to the extent it's making my eyes cross.  One review says this brand sucks get this other one then I research that one and they say that one sucks get this other one.  V twin vs Inline twin, IR vs Quincy vs Campbell Hausfeld vs many others jeezus why are there so damn many versions of the same freakin thing.

Obviously any of them are going to be substantially better then what I currently have and I'd realllllly like to stay in the no greater then $1500 range, but, if something was a few hundred more AND was a much better compressor I'd be willing to spend up a bit if it got me a truly better compressor.  This one at Home Depot was another I was looking at but is it really any better for the higher cost. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Ingersoll-Rand-Type-30-Reciprocating-60-Gal-5-HP-Electric-230-Volt-Single-Phase-Air-Compressor-2340L5-V/202885716?MERCH=REC-_-pip_alternatives-_-309832507-_-17-_-n/a-_-n/a-_-n/a-_-n/a-_-n/a

I am open to any and all thoughts opinions or ideas on the above subject.  What has or hasn't worked for you.  This will be for personal use not commercial use and never running more then one tool at a time but whatever I get I want to have enough volume to run whatever tool I'm using without having to stop every few minutes to let the tank build back up.

I have a 5hp ingersoll that I bought probably 8 years ago from tractor supply, brought it with me when I moved, it’s everything I’ve needed, will air up my semi tires fast enough, runs my 1” air gun (with half inch air line) and runs sanders no problem. I honestly can’t remember if it’s a 60 or 80 gallon. Depending on what you plan to use it for, big thing is cfm and recovery.

It looks like the tractor supply one is higher cfm at 90psi than the Home Depot one.

I was in the same boat as you a few years ago and ended up going with a FS Curtis 60 gal. Best decision I ever made!!!
