New to Grouse hunting
«

Grew up hunting as a kid in Wyoming and Nevada. Wanting to get back into it and I figure grouse and rabbit hunting are good starters for this year. Has anyone ever hunted Elbe hills or tahoma state land around Ashford to Morton? I seen a fair amount of trucks last year outside the blue state land gates. If anyone needs someone to go with or can show me how its done, that would be awesome. All else fails I take a walk in the woods and make a new friend. I'm around the Eatonville area.

Take a drive up to Randall and hit some side roads heading towards Mt StHelens on FR 25
22 or 20g will do just fine

Thanks MadMax for the info, I'll have to check that area out. I appreciate someone helping steer me in a general direction.

I've shot some blacktail, seen some elk, and a bear in the Elbe Hills... Never seen a grouse... Spent some time in there... Like Madmax said there are way better areas... Also FR 23 out of Randle... Goes all the way to Trout Lake...

Thanks Ghost Hunter, I don't live that way, but it's good to know if I choose to make a trip that direction. Thanks for the info.
