Little Boar
« on: June 28, 2009, 10:57:18 PM »
Just before dark Saturday night I spotted a black bear being followed by a chocolate bear about 1000 yds away. It was starting to get dark, so I left them alone with plans to come back first thing in the morning.

They were in the same area this morning. From about a 1000 yds away, I watched then walk into a thicket and they never came out. I hustled down there, got downwind and snuck in as close as I could. I couldn't see them, but could here some moaning about 20 yds away. I ran out of patience and was sneaking closer, when the sow busted out of there and ran off to my left. The boar stayed there. Notice the drool.

After I snapped a few pics he ran away. I quickly got myself between him and the sow which was now behind me down the hill out of sight. The boar came back huffing nonstop trying to locate the sow. As you can see from the pictures he is just a little guy, not very intimidating and probably smaller than the sow.

Check out the oversize mitts on this guy.

Either he couldn't see me or was too intent on finding his girlfriend. I took pics of him for at least 15 minutes.

I took a few seconds of video, listen to the huffing.

Great looking pics.
Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.  That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.
