Grouse hunting Near Yakima

I am planning to do a bit of grouse hunting around yakima, anybody know how grouse numbers are out there right now? Im thinking on using a 22.

Not sure about yakima but we saw alit around peoh point out of cle elum

Hunted muzzy elk in Cowichie up the North and South Forks... Saw some grouse... Not a lot... All hiking up ridge... Didn't see one close to the road...
