Late season east side elk

Anyone have advice for any late season east side muzzleloader elk hunting? I know there isn’t more than about 9 days left, but thought I’d ask anyway. Better than sitting at home. While it seems most the late season units have a lot of private land, maybe 290 Desert might be an option? But having never been there is there any one who has hunted late season there? Really just looking for any advice. Harvest records are pretty low for late season opportunities but beats sitting on the couch. Maybe.
