First catfish on sammamish
« on: June 30, 2009, 01:56:01 PM »
I have been fishing sammamish for like 4 years now, finally caught my first cat fish. I happen to see two of them in the shallows and went for it. However, upon further watching the other cat, it seemed very agressive and was only hanging around a small clump of weeds. I was going to deep fry the catch, but I let it loose. I am willing to bet they had a clutch of eggs in there.

still...nice to catch a cat!

Growing up I used to always see mama catfish with her recently hatched cloud of babies cruising the warm shallows....really cool to see....

I've caught some pretty big brown bullheads in there but no cats yet.  Been fishing it for 12 years now.  Of course, I've never targeted them.  Caught the bullheads whilst perch fishing.  That's what I'll be doing Sunday!
Look man, some times you just gotta roll the dice
