Nope. They can pile on extraordinary amounts of fat. There was one killed in Washington that was 700# that was hit by a car near yakima. I have seen some on trail cam that were around 500-600 I’m sure. My biggest was 450. They only get so big but after that it’s just a matter of how fat they are. A 275# bear can be huge but just no fat at all. Add 8” of fat on that bear and you start seeing weight.

I know a guy in Seabeck, WA that shot a 638# in Kitsap... Talked to a guy in Cowichie who's son got one that weighed 574# gutted at the canery he works for...
