Taking GF fishing on Westside...HELP
« on: July 01, 2009, 08:25:27 PM »
I'm not normally one to ask for spots, ever really. I like seclusion as much as anybody. So if nobody responds to this, I'm totally cool with that. But my girlfriend wants to go fishing...problem being I've grown up fishing the streams on the Eastside, she lives in Issaquah. I will be over there on the 8th and 9th. I took her shad fishing once, and that's the only time she has ever held a fishing rod. Does anybody know of any panfish or maybe bass spots with bank access somewhat close to there that they are willing to divulge? I'm a freaking noob to the Westside, so any info would work. I'm just looking for an easier fishery for her, like a kids fishery kind of. She may be able to fish a small stream for trout, too, but good streams are pushing the secrecy boundary I know. Thanks for helping me out...some serious pride on the line here, haha.

Sorry, Don't know any area up that way. Riffle Lake in Lewis County is pretty good right now. Land lock coho, 10"-16" average , fun to catch and taste great. Pretty simple fishing. Take my 3 year old and he reels them in. PM he if you want some more info.

pine lake can be good if there's any fish left. there's a great big fishing dock and lots of parking. there's not much in the way of other bank access.

Alder lake is good but you need a boat and fish the weed lines around the lake for perch and crappie.  Just use a crappie jig tipped with a little worm and your golden.

Lake Sammamish is right across the street.  Teh Snoqualmie river near the fish hatchery at Tokul creek I think it is is good for trout and when the salmon and steelhead are running. Lake Sammamish is good for trout and smallmouths as wel as perch and crappie.
