This season in Ea Wa was too early as it is. Now we will be able to hunt Mulies and Elk and the same time??I wouldn't think so... Last year muley season was 11 days long for MF... Ended Oct 21st.. MF elk is 9 days that don't overlap... They always start the next weekend... It shows modern starting October 17 ands running through the 27th this year. Unless they bump elk season back it will be overlapped.Elk is scheduled to open on October 31.Do you have a link for the general season dates? I was looking for them the other day, with no luck.

Other interesting thing is the yakima area bull rifle tags open a week earlier then they typically do and close the opening weekend of the general season which is a change from prior years.
I'm not sure I've ever seen proposals change at all, seems like they stay with maybe a couple tags here or there but, I'd feel comfy that these numbers will stay.
I see application numbers jumping a bit on those increased central eastern elk tags, and it's mostly based on false hopes. like someone already said, the odds with more tags added will most likely only go up .1%. Remember folks, points don't mean crap.

Not with general season...

I'd agree, looking at these for over 20 years they rarely make significant changes from these proposals. In addition the commission is no longer approving these, they delegated it to the director starting last year I believe.

The only times I remember them changing was when there were significant late season winter kill and the year they discovered the magical mature bull disappearance in the Yakima area. I am surprised by them moving the season a week later though. Does anyone know the reason behind the change?
