American Legion Post #14 Winter/Spring Raffle
«

The tickets: $10 each for a chance to win $1,000.00. A maximum of 500 tickets will be sold (although, I have yet to see the tickets sell out). The drawing will be on April 8th and yours truly will call the winner and post the ticket number on this thread. I have PayPal and Venmo. You can send a check to: Attn: Commander (Grand Poobah), American Legion Post #14, 4607 NE St. James Rd, Vancouver, WA, 98663. Or if you live locally, I'll bring the tickets myself or meet you at the Post. When I receive payment, if not in person, I'll text you back a picture of the tickets.
We do this every season of the year to help pay the ever-increasing taxes and costs of serving our veterans at the Post. Vancouver City just added their own B&O tax in addition to raising the sales tax by 2/10s of a cent. We pay for licenses, permits, electricity, insurance, and/or payroll taxes for our one employee, Julie. She's the greatest manager on the planet and has worked at the post for 34 years on a very meagre salary.
On the last drawing, of the 400 tickets sold, HuntWA accounted for an astounding 140, more than 1/3 of all tickets sold. This will give you an idea of how much you guys and gals are helping our vets - an awful lot!
If you're able to get some tickets, we all appreciate it. Message me and I'll get you going. Thanks so much!

Thank you, Pat. Sending it right to the post St. James St address, correct? I'll be on the lookout for it. We really appreciate your support.

8 days to go and still only sold a little over 300 tickets. That's barely going to cover the Commander's beer fund! And I'm kidding. Good odds! Let's get a HuntWA member a nice bump toward hunting season - $1,000!

We drew the raffle last night. The winner is one of our older vets with ticket #327. Congratulations to Jerry! Thank you all for participating. We'll be starting the next one shortly for another chance to win $1,000.00. I appreciate you guys for all of your support.
