other thread got me wondering. found this map thought maybe you guys would find it interesting. check out Oregon  :drool:

Read "American Buffalo: In Search of a Lost Icon" if you have some patience.

Kind of interesting - about a guy that draws a buffalo tag in Alaska (I didn't know there were buffalo in Alaska before I read this).  He talks about his hunt but it's more about the history of buffalo in North America.

my dads friend drew a buffalo tag the first year he put in for it when we lived up there, lucky s o b. that thing was friggin huge and tasty

I'd love to do that some day...I shot a moose once but something like a buffalo would be unreal.
