Shotgun troubleshooting
« on: July 05, 2009, 01:54:54 AM »
I have a Khan Arthemis supreme 12 gauge O/U that I've had some issues with.  I think the firing pins aren't resetting correctly.  If I shoot the first barrel and reload before shooting the second, a lot of times it will actually fire both barrels instead of resetting and shooting the first barrel.  I don't know if it's something wrong with the gun or if I'm just mildly retarded(which is a good possibility I'd say).  I haven't shot it in awhile to see if I'm not breaking it open all the way and maybe it's not resetting because of that.  Anyone have any ideas?

It could be a bad spring thats not alowning the mechanism to catch.  It would probably cost you more to fix that gun than it's worth, but who knows.  There might be a guy on the site that will work you a deal.
Cut em!
It's not the shells!  It's the shooter!

Hmm, that's no good.  I think I'll take it out this weekend maybe and see if I can figure out if I'm not opening the barrels all the way or something.  If I can't figure it out I guess I'll have to take it in and have a gunsmith tell me what's wrong.

Oh, I noticed it gives a helluva punch when it shoots both barrels!  Really catches you off guard when you get hammered by two 12 gauge shells at the same time when your not expecting it.  Dense patterns though!! :chuckle:
