Best work and best prices just dont go together, you will almost always get what you pay for. Cheap guys are more than likely cheap for a reason, and it is not because they are good. But I am sure there are some good cheap Taxis around.....I guess? Now on the other hand there are the guys that are real good with real high prices.

I would say generally speaking guys that are cheap are that way to get a clientle because they are starting out.  Until they earn areputation they need to be cheap.  Get a reputation and your prices go up or you flat won't have the time to do the projects and your freezers will be overflowing.

Pretty much, but every now and again you may fing a good cheap mechanic.

Thats me Bone, prices have been going up to get to that point.

When looking for a quality taxidermist the one thing you need to check on is also their specialty, this guy maybe awesome in birds and charges accordingly, this guy maybe awesome in fish and charge accordingly. Go look at their work ask questions, find out what their turn around times are, I know of an excellent taxidermist he just got one of my friends cougar done he had it for 3 yrs 6 months and 14 days. Find out if they do all work themselves, have an assistant. To find the taxidermist that best fits your needs is a hard thing to find. Once you do though you will be happy with the end results. I have the same problem with my personal mounts Bone, I have a 23 cubic foot upright full to the brimm with my stuff I havent mounted yet
