Red Light Hunting????
« on: July 31, 2009, 10:54:27 PM »
I have always hunted coyotes in the day throughout the seasons, and now I'm trying to get into night hunting. I have heard about the red light hunting and am kind of lost. Anyone use one? Any brand I should look for or where do you get them? Have looked around a bit on the interent and havent found much. Looking for some pointers here. Thanks guys.

Check out the coon hunting lights from Nite Lite on www.huntsmart.com
They point where you look and they sell red lens covers. They work great.
I have owned a few over the years and like the Halogen pro. This light has a bright light and long burn time. Works great for night calling.

Hope this helps.

Lightforce. Tough, durable, featherweight, and gun mounted (required in WA. You can't even LEAN on the truck!) Check out http://tufflights.com/product_info_night_hunter.shtml they have the whole line, and deal with hunters all the time.

Just remember, even though your allowed to hunt yotes year round, night hunting is only open during certain periods of the year.  It is the only way I hunt bobs and yotes anymore.  You ALWAYS have the place to yourself at night and the coyotes and Roberts are so much easier at night.

Dang it, saw the title to this  thread and thought is was about something different entirely... :dunno:

Those "red light" districts can be fun though....  :chuckle: :chuckle:
By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

Calling an illegal alien an 'undocumented immigrant' is like calling a drug dealer an 'unlicensed pharmacist'.

Sounds like a good idea, did the celophane melt? That would be a concern.
