Who likes lizards?
« on: August 03, 2009, 10:12:54 PM »
I have always loved these little guys and tonight I got this little sucker after he ran out from under the garbage can. When I bought my property out by Alder Lake and I discovered that these guys werer hanging around it tickled me pink. I have always had a fondness for theses little guys. Enjoy the pic's!

What an awesome find!  The diversity of wildlife here in WA continues to amaze me. Great pics!  Just another reason to go get a macro lens.

The look he is giving you is the same look my friend had when he drew the rimrock tag it;s the smug look.

There are some great big jumping spiders out here to. Will try and get pic's and post soon.

Anybody on here ever find a Rubber Boa constricter. They are native to the northwest. They get about 18-20 inches long. They are super cool. It has been years since I have seen one.

Lizards are cool.  Those are great pics.

I had a lizard hanging out around my compost pile for a few weeks this spring.  Then he moved over to a log pile for a couple weeks.  He was getting his fill of ants and grubs it looked like.

Then last week I saw a lizard in my shop.  Its nice having lizards and snakes around to take care of ants and mice.
May I always be the kind of person my dog thinks I am.

We found a couple Rubber Boa's over the years. One in Steilacoom south of Western State Hospital and my brother found one up on Satus Pass hunting in Dry Creek.

Yeah I brought a backpack in from under my trailer early this spring and had one running around inside the trailer after he warmed up.

I find these guys in my yard in Bonney Lake all the time. When I was younger and living in Seatac my buddies and I would find them in the woods by the little league fields.

My best lizard story was a trip to Taneum camping and then we got back home and as I was unpacking a lizard ran out of one of the duffel bags  :chuckle: :chuckle: managed to relocate him to the garden but hoped he didn't suffer living on the wet side being an eastside liz and all
