My Brother drew a Winston Creek Cow Tag
« on: August 16, 2009, 09:57:06 PM »
So my brother drew a Winston Creek Cow Tag for Modern Fire Arm Season...
I'm sure that he will get one...Hopefully a BULL!!

But who else has drawn a tag for a COW in the Winston Creek Area?

My brother only had 3 points going into this. I have 4...hopefully i'll get something next year!!

We wanna set up a big elk camp this year with some other elk hunters. Were from YELM anyone want to set a nice camp up like a week or 2 before elk season?

IF you are talking about the Winston unit, be prepared for combat hunting.  It is a zoo on the weekends.  However, you should not have any problem filling a cow tag.  We seen 20-40 head a day, every year we hunted in there.  Last year was our last year for that crap though, with gate problems, and all the stuff that goes on out there on Weyco land.
By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

Calling an illegal alien an 'undocumented immigrant' is like calling a drug dealer an 'unlicensed pharmacist'.

Oh ya... No we have hunted Winston Creek for 10 years and have gotten a couple elk out of there. Its a big unit. But yeah way to many gate problems and other crap. Especially year before last when they closed the lower gate and wasnt allowing trailers to go in there and had to take that long ass detour around. That was crazy. But anywho hopefully we'll get one.
Were are you going this year?

We are headed back up into the high country.  Better hunting with tons less hunters.
