I found a way to curb the Elk camp anxiety.....I went and banged out a bunch of humpies this morning....It worked pretty good while I was in the river but when I started thinking about smoking them to take to camp I was right back where I started

I cleaned and package a good portion of my hunting gear this weekend.  I hate to scamble at the last minute to get everything done.  Need to make a list of stuff to get and pack over this week.

It was below freezing at White Pass last night according to the temperature data online.  15 days to go!

It's always good to know your not the only one suffering from Early Elk Fever. Spent Saturday & Sunday in Willapa & Ryderwood scouting elk & hunting bear and it's getting cold up high but nothing screaming yet. Didn't see a bear big enough to bring home yet either. Lots of berrys still need to ripen. So maybe another chance at bear during early archery. Good luck to all this year!

My buddy and I have decided that we're actually turning into elk.  September's coming... weather's getting cooler...I start smelling things... getting kind of wild-eyed...my neck is starting to swell up... I'm getting excited in public places...

The other day my wife caught me peeing in the yard and rolling in it. :bdid:
