Puyallup River netting schedules

So this is my 3rd year fishing the Puyallup and i have noticed a trend of good fishing to bad fishing in relation to the nets being in the river. I would always find out if the nets are in the river after the fact by word of mouth, but I would like to fish around the nets. So my question is, is there a website or a phone number to call to see when the nets are in or out?

I don't know if the Puyallup Indians net on the same schedule as the Nisquallys. If they do  - nets will go in at 12:00pm Sunday & come out at 12:00pm Wednesday.

those big straw truck crashes are so predictable I wounder why :rolleyes:

do you guys think if I called the tribal fish and game would they tell me? might be worth a shot.

It is true a bad day of fishing is better than a good day at work, but it gets frustrating when there is a net factor killing the runs.

The nets get even worse when they use two boats, one near each shore and drag the river with their gill nets. I have seen this 6 or 7 different times.

I know they are in the water now. I saw them putting the nets in as i drove by on my way home from camping. The river was also elbow to elbow fishermen.................

Not my kinda fishing any more  :bash:

I live in Puyallup and drive by daily.  You know when the salmon are running cause trucks are parked everywhere on River Road, this morning as I drove over the Puyallup river on Hwy 512 I could see atleast 20 guys in the river fishing.  Made me want to turn around and go home, grab the pole and call in sick.

Look for the beat up trucks at the local Taverns near the river, thats a pretty good indicator whether or not they are netting
