Leavenworth fish hatchery
« on: August 27, 2009, 01:07:15 PM »
I took this picture with my phone while visiting the Leavenworth fish hatchery in July of '08. I was taking a walk on their "nature trail" a couple hundred yards from the parking lot. I guess I'm part of the Poo crew now. :chuckle:

No people will tamely surrender their Liberties, nor can any be easily subdued, when knowledge is diffused and Virtue is preserved. On the Contrary, when People are universally ignorant, and debauched in their Manners, they will sink under their own weight without the Aid of foreign Invaders.

There are a lot of bears around there.  There was a picture in the Leavenworth paper of a bear in the middle of the river right next to the swimmers just upstream from the hatchery recently.

When fishing for springers, we tend to see a lot of bears along the Icicle.
