Spent the week working in naselle, off work at 3 every day and on the water monday thru thursday we fished above the bridge washington side.
Up hill or down hill didn't matter. We had 4 rods out at all times, 1 cut plug herring for the old guy, coyote and brads cut plug switched out on one rod every hour or so, and my home made hootchie spinners on 2 rods. By thursday we all had spinners on.
we had over 100 coho to the boat, only 2 chinook.
We hooked 5 nates over 20 kept 6 fish over 15 and only kept fish over 10.
We got into an epic spinner bite wednesday night right at high slack. 1 rod had 10 hook ups in 15 minutes. the other 3 rods had 12 fish on during the same time. so the boat had 27 fish on in 15 minutes. We would have caught more if i could have kept the lines in the water longer.
For the week we kept 29 coho and 2 chinook, last night was rough in the channel but it finally layed down about 6 pm, high slack was at 7 and the bite turned on we were off the water at 8:30.
My last week fishing coho down here time to move up river.
Except for tomorrow, i will be on the jetty.
