would a garmin echomap73 sv be a good choice?

I was looking at the cabelas ad and saw this unit on sale,and was wondering if it would be a good match for what i need.
I have an 18 northriver that will be mainly used for a 50 50 mix of saltwater /freshwater fishing.
bubble kings,silvers,crabbing,shrimping,baker lake sockeye, kokannee, mabeye some walleye. 
  I have been told some units dont do well in the salt, and i really need something easy to use in both salt and fresh.

I just saw that too. Got pretty excited till I saw it wasn't the echomap chirp model. Think I would rather pay a bit extra for the chirp model. Think GPS city has it for $639.

Also been taking a serious look at the Raymarine Dragonfly 7pro. It has chirp and wi fi compatability. Just doesn't have side imaging. But gets excellent reviews and can be had for about the same as the Garmin in Cabelas ad.

You should look into it and see what you think.
 Would also be nice to get this moved to fishing  forum for more views.
