Sorry, but that bear doesn't look like it would make 100 pounds. :twocents:

Definitely not 225, but that's nothing to worry about!  Bears can be really hard to judge.  Last year one of my buddies shot one about that size and it was the best eating bear we got all season.  Don't worry about it, just try to get a bigger one next time!  Keep on hunting!

Congrats, but with those ears that bear will have a hard time making 135 pounds.  Not trying to demean or anything, but there is no way that is a 225 bear.   :twocents:  Nice shot!

 :yeah:

My buddy shot one last year that was 6' 1" and weighed 240.  That one barely reaches across a tail gate which is 4' roughly correct ??  :dunno:

But any bear down is awesome! Good job. Go get another!

Very nice color, and like said any bear on the ground is a great accomplishment. So congrats and enjoy it and yes it should be some real good eats right there

Drop-tine....congrats on a successful hunt. I can tell by the smile on the faces of the hunters that they had a great time. The most important thing is the quality of the experience, not the size of the game. I think some guys get too wrapped up in the trophy hunting mentality and forget that not all hunts are trophy hunts.

It is fun to trophy hunt, but that is not what all hunting is about at all.
Congrats again on what appears to be a fun and sucessful hunt.

Wow, everyone hacking the guy saying he shot a small bear and giving him chit.  I will agree it is not a 225lb bear, but congratulations for killing a fawn and calf killer is what he deserves.  God job on getting a very nice hided bear!
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.
If I ageed with you, then we'd both be wrong.
