Humpalicious
« on: September 01, 2009, 05:02:32 PM »
Figured since we haven't seen any shots of river success lately I'd throw these up, not the biggest, but a decent afternoon today, lost a nice king as well. I have seen it all now, whatever gets into people to risk their health for a damn salmon is beyond me. Between the dipstick standing behind me trying to cast over my head and a woman in high heels dragging, yes dragging her poor kids down a boulder face screaming for help, while she tosses lead over people's head, amazing. I'm happy to say I've never lost my mind over a fish....

Thank you sir, it was good fun, other than catching a few tree's as well :chuckle:. The shoreline is starting to look like Christmas with all the ornaments hanging off of them, the cool thing is that I've found enough gear that I've broke even :chuckle:. Even caught one on a corky I pulled out of a tree today. I did pack as much mono out of there as I could find, it's getting pretty bad.

Nice fish, but your hilarious commentary was even better!  It's truly amazing how fishing can attract the freak show.

Dman, nice fish!
Where were you fishing on the river? Do you know if the Alderton area is any better or less crowded then near downtown?
I keep telling myself to go down, even if it is only to watch the mayham, lol. I think I will wait for the coho to start up, hopefully by then most of the crowds will be fished out.

I heard the fruit stand area was less crowded, though not sure where that is exactly. I was in Sumner, it was amazing how many people have weekday's off :chuckle:. Add the folks getting off work and by 3PM it's Barnum and Bailey time. :boxin: :rockin: :party1: :violent1: :mgun: :hunt2: :whoo:
