«

do braodheads change your arrow flight? i just started practicing with my bow about a month and a half ago, i practiced and set my sights using target tips, but when i put broadheads on (same grain weight as the target tips) the arrows flew way differently, have to reset my sights, so the question is do broadheads change the arrow's flight path? thanks foe any help

Yeah... there is a major difference.
I agree, but depends on the broadhead, some are not nearly as bad as others. You need to try them with your bow.

ya they can affect a little or a lot depending on brand and style, u need to tune them by turning the broadhead in the end of the arrow this is a teedess prosses.. if u use a shuttle t or a slick trick almost no tuning required..

if your broadheads are flying different ,then you should move your rest not your sights first. try spin testing your arrows w/broadheads for balance. the new short broadheads dont plane as much as bigger ones do, the guys at xxx told me to simple turn my nock a little at a time to see if arrow flight gets better.hope this helps.

my take is your form or bow tune is off a bit. some broad heads plane worse, What one are you shooting and what arrow , with what fletching? if we knew that then we could give you a better idea how to solve your issue .

All depends on the broadheads in my opinion, 2 bows same broadheads, they fly the same as my field tips. Just my experience. Strikers 3 blade

Just got done shooting my broadheads for the first time after practicing with my field points for the past 8 months. Flew exactly the same...at least out to 40 yards. Muzzy 3 blades, 100 grain.

if they are flying way different then I would say that your not tuned that well, but depending on the broadhead there will be a little difference.

try shooting thru paper,it will tell you if your bow is in tune. stand 5 ft away shoot thru butcher paper if you get a hole with 3 or 4 vanes like the back of your arrow then you tune is fine then start looking at your arrow set up...db

Go to the link below, there a lots of tuning information here. The Easton tuning guide is a good one to download for future reference.
