I've caught huge fish out of the Puyallup and Carbon. Both produce nice Kings and silvers. Just have to be in the right spot for the bigger kings on the Puyallup

how far up the carbon are they right now? I've only fished it WAY up stream myself, I don't know it well. my buddy likes to hang out there, but the pinks are so thick in puyallup...that's just a blast right now.

They can make the run from the salt to the carbon in less then a day not saying they all do that obviously. If the hatchery is closed they will mill around smartly in the King hole by the outflow and stack up.

we hit the carbon and pulled a couple pinks, but this kid next us, couldn't be more than 9-10 years old, was slaying them! Really nice kid, as soon as we get there he was giving me advice and giving me the reports on Kings that had been pulled out and whatnot... he keeps catching pinks and complaining about how he couldn't keep them off his line, LOL cute kid, good fisherman.

Hunter Orange Jacket?

We hit two 30+ Lb Kings in the Puyallup just below the Carbon Yesterday. My buddy landed his, I lost mine in the log jam down river...lots of silvers just before dark last night.

Was he a chubby short kid with his dad? Keeps bragging about how much he likes his pole and really energetic when he catches one? When I was on the Puyallup last week there was a kid next to use that had one at least every other cast, if not every cast. He kept throwing them back, didn't even grab them to get them off his hook. He didn't like that they were all pinks either. Kid was amazing and fun to fish next to.

No, there was a kid above the bridge doing that standing next to his dad?

The one I'm talking about is tall with Red hair. He's been wearing a hunter orange camo jacket. He lives at the place with the shelter and BBQ just above the bridge on the East side of the river. Name is Ethan. Good kid. His favorite past time is walking up between guys who are fishing and not catching fish. Casting twice, catching a fish and then going to a new spot. He's a good kid, amazing fisherman. He'll be the next top river guide. Been doing it since he could walk. Can read water better than anyone I've ever seen.

my buddy is good friends with him and his family. His mom is Ruth. Super lady if you get to know her. Made us fresh Zuchinni(sp?) bread when we came in for a snack. They own the place where you can pay $5 to park and access their property to fish.
