Looking for a second rifle.. I found it. :)
« on: September 03, 2009, 07:21:18 PM »
I have decided.  With some expert advise from my friends at Kesselrings Gun shop here in Bow Washington.

I just bought the Tekka T3 Hunter,  270.  Wood Stock.  Topped it with the Leupold Rifleman 3x9x40 scope.
I has a very smooth action and , for me,, a light triger.. I like that.  Much more exact and lighter trigger than my
Rem 243. I'm going to see if some one can lighten the trigger pull on my Rem.  just a bit.
Going out next week to the Range and sight it in.

Great choice on .270, a fantastic caliber. We have killed tons of elk and deer with them for over 35 years. I also love wood stocks, but also want a lightweight stock to convert my 270 into a "mountain rifle" to try for a change....

Now on to the important question. Are you going to have your handle changed to Remington 270?
Never, ever let Creed hold you baby, it will ruin it and you will have to get another.

nice gun, they usually have good wood on them. I have a t3 lite in 30-06 and a 2-7 leupold rifleman on it, it is my go to gun.

You'll love your new weapon brother!! .270 is an awesome caliber. My wife shoots a .270 WBY mag and I tend to take that with me everytime if she isn't going with me.  ;)

270's are great! I too think the federal ammo is about the best I have found. The 270's I've been around shoot the 130gr federal classic ammo very well. Congrats on your new gun!

Nice pickup, I have had good luck with the Federal Premiums 130gr Noslers, here is the general info on them.
