How far is it from barrier to mission bar? Never done it but want to float it soon to learn the river a little better and just practice a little more on the oars and would be interested in the pick up.

Bowtech,

I think that float is about 10 or 12 miles. I ran it saturday in the sled and seen alot of fish roll. We fished a little but didn't hook anything.

Best float for a newbe would be from Blue Creek to mission. It's  an easy float.

Is the taste of the bait worth the sting of the hook twice?

10-12 miles is a reallllly long float in a drift boat.
