Is there a part 4?

That was a *censored* shot!  Looks like you hit him good though.  You did find him, right?

Sweet.  Did he pileup right on that road. :)

Looked like a tough shot angle.

If you had a pile of apples like that around these parts you would be in trouble for bear baiting in a heartbeat!  :)

This was a tough one. It took us 4 days to kill this deer only to have it cross a fence and loose blood. Oren Jenson, the guide is hopeful that I will be receiving a box with a set of antlers in it soon. I feel terrible for the loss of the animal, but honestly I would take the shot again. Check out the blood trail on part 3, I was expecting to be taking photo’s of that guy just over the hill.

Oren looked for this buck all week and nothing...we had 6 guys looking for the buck. wil is sick about the loss of the buck ,it was a fun but sad hunt We hope to go back next year and do it again with Oren, what a great Guy.

I watched the vid again and paused it at the slow mo part.  That was a really steep angle and it looked like you hit too far forward.

How long did you guys wait before going after him.  I don't think you hit vitals.  Usually when vitals are struck and an animal isn't pushed it will lay down and bleed out before going too far.

Tough to wait for a better shot when you have been waiting for 4 days but if you would have you would have got those pictures.

I'm not trying to be a jerk, as I am sure your still stinging from not putting your tag on that super nice buck, but my friend you really need to re-think your shot angles.  I highly doubt you even got a lung on that shot.  The only reason I bring it up is your statement above about honestly taking the same shot again.  We all make mistakes, but we also need to learn from our mistakes, and that shot was a mistake, IMO.
