Zero
« on: September 12, 2009, 05:32:31 PM »
Just spent yesterday and half of today trying to find an elk willing to run into my arrow. No luck. We even set up one bear stand. Nada. To add insult to injury most of the critters we saw were on the road. Usually directly in front of or just to the side of the truck. Including 9 elk several deer and 3 bear. Fairly certain most of the bugling was other hunters too.

It was a fun time though. It did not appear any of our camping neighbors got their elk shish ka bob but the weekend was far from over. I have to get back to being a father.

Hi Ray
Long time no talk to, sorry to hear got nothing. My daughter an I went out first three days an saw only Turkeys.
If done for now an going out back Late Season, you can always try where we went last year. I am heading to Oklahoma City till mid Nov. If you have not got anything by then maybe we can go together again.

Hello Mike,

We'll see if that can happen again. I'd love to give it a try. I'll bring my snorkel.

Sure those "black things" weren't Angus. LOL  Keep at it.  Enjoy the ride.

Sounds like you had fun anyway.   :chuckle: Maybe I should come up and hunt Bears with you.  You've been passing on quite a few of them.  I havn't seen one yet this year.

Well I only have passed on one bear. The other ones were either too far away or situationally not reality. Seeing as opposed to being in a position to get one  8)

We definitely had a great time.
