Gov Elk Tag ??? or Raffle Elk Tag ???
« on: December 19, 2007, 07:16:43 AM »
I heard the Gov tag holder was in the Dayton area yesterday.  Anyone know if this it true?

Or could it have been the Raffle Tag Holder?

At any rate, I heard someone was there asking for permission to go after a 400"

Had to be the Gov. Tag holder, My buddie had the raffle tag and notched it 2 weeks ago. The Gov. tag holder has been spending his time in the Blues.

Any pics of the raffle tag bull to share? WOuld love to see it. Sounds like the gov tag might have found what he is looking for. The special permit bull he got earlier was just an appetizer! Must be nice to have a chance at two monster bulls in one year from our state. nwhunter

Ya he is kinda an Elk hog if ya ask me ... I heard he also either won or bid on another State's Gov. tag (maybe Nevada??? not sure :dunno:)and he bought 1000 tickets for the WA raffle my buddy drew. I think it's funny as hell that my buddy bought 1 ticket! :chuckle:

I have pictures but I don't have permission but I will give him a call and see if I can post it.

Holy cow, I can only imagine what the Nevada Gov. tag must cost.  Strikes me the AZ tag went for $200K+, and I would imagine Nevada would be similar.  We need to get that guy to go buy those HLR properties and keep them undeveloped.

he is more of a elk nut than a deer nut if you can believe that.  he has bought the utah nevada and i think arizona gov tags before and i think colorado or wyomings before also. He has bulls hanging on his wall that are over 400 inches.  Found all this out last winter about this time up on the mountain.  Pretty crazy.  I would love to see pictures of all of his animals.

Hey Guy's I just hung up with my buddy and I'm gonna start a new topic for the Eastern Wa. Raffle bull with his pic. I was trying to encourage him to create a log in to tell his story but he may just send it to me a little later.

MLcoug,
Sorry to highjack your post with all the talk about the raffle tag holder only, but I guess you got the answer to your question ... It was the Gov. tag holder!
At any rate thank you is in order to you however for starting this topic so others would ask to see the Raffle tag holder's bull, once he saw that people were interested I was able to share his pics. On a side note my friend was hunting some of the same animals as the Gov. tag holder and either couldn't get the right shot or in other cases some of the largest animals he saw were too broken up.
