My Elk Season
« on: December 19, 2007, 11:27:51 AM »
It first started off in Wa, when I got to tag along with my buddy for a big bull rifle hunt. On the second day of the season he took this dandy bull. Thats me in the pic because I never asked if he wanted his pic on the net.

Then I headed down to Colorado with 3 other guys and we all got bulls down there. Here is a pic of mine which was the smallest.

Anyway this was my first year going on an elk hunt and seeing five bulls killed was pretty sweet. Enjoy

Congrats on a great first year.
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.
If I ageed with you, then we'd both be wrong.
You are never to old to learn something stupid.

jackelope, I can't tell you what unit but I will say it was one of the 300's. I never even tried stalking a deer for myself this year, just could not find a buck that looked like a shooter to me.
Thanks goldtip

WDFW Hates ME
It is just an otc unit. Everybody said it was a bad year but we saw 42 bulls in the 6 days we were hunting. I think it is because we got off the road.  ;) Just hike back in a couple of miles and you should be good to go.

I thought I would bump this. My buddy took his bull to the show and it ended up at 358 6/8 gross and 350 4/8 net. It was awsome that he got this bull since he scouted everyday that he had off work once he was drawn.
