well i remember reading an article in the olympian about how there guna stop the program. the main reason for there numbers falling was somthin to do with lichen which is there main food. but studys from some college showed that lions were having a affect on them too. either way there is plenty of them in canada so thats why i dont care to much bout them. unless we get to hunt more lions from the damgae there doin to the herd ;D

Does it seem sort of coincidental that they took down all of the caribou signs and put p wolf signs in their place at all the trailheads in Idaho and NE washington?

I tried hunting elk up in the selkirk this past fall and i didnt see any wolf signs but they had plenty of bear signs. and when i came out to my vehicle about mid week in the hunt the forest ranger had stuck a bag full of papers on woodland caribou and grizzly identification under my windshield wiper. that night at dinner in ione i asked one of the locals about the caribou and i almost got laughed outta the place. apparently they are there but not in any sort of numbers.
