Ol'dan and I went out and fought the snow and fog for awhile today, was able to call this female in to 65 yards. I did notice she was in heat, so time to start using the female invitation howls.

The final 3 for now.  Sure wish I could pack a gun at work!  The one is eating on a nice velvet buck skull.

FYI...

I thought I would do some photobucket organization and put all my coyote pics in a "category".  Now it appears my pics aren't showing up unless I repost the pic.  Problem is I don't know what pic went with which post.

If you have suggestions on what to do or if it is a big deal, pm me.

Gringo, When you move pics to a different folder in Photobucket you change the path of the pic. You would have to repost or You could move them back to the original folder and then they will show up in the posts. No quick fix that I know of.

It's a foggy mucky mess here today.  Still have some snow but it got rained on pretty good.  Calling for the high's in the low 40's tomorrow.

I do have a bit of a funny story though.  I was checking on one particular area that coyotes tend to hang around and thought I'd go get a good look.  I'm walking over that way and hear some heavy snoring.  As I'm getting closer, it's obvious that they have been rather enjoying themselves.

The amount of dog piss in the area was much more than normal, and I found several piles of puke.  As I eased up to the snoring sounds, I found this guy  :chuckle: :chuckle:

I guess some guys have all the luck  :dunno:

Different dog, same photo location.  Momma is my picture taker, so I bring em home and she takes em from the house.  The new years eve dog I shot going away from me.  This morning's dog was on a carcass and ran about 180 yards but stopped broadside to look back.

I still had the new years eve dog in the back of my truck, so I figured I'd take it out and take a pic of both together.  MtnMuley, PLEASE don't think I think you were accusing me.....NOT the case.  But, I do know that anytime there are contests, there usually is a cheater or two in em.  I just like everything being on the up and up and after looking at yesterdays picture, they do look a lot alike and you can't tell if the hole behind the shoulder is an entrance with no exit or what....

Yesterdays dog does look a bit different now after getting rained on though.

So, here is a pic of my last dog of 2009, and the first of 2010.

No worries Gringo!  Just thought you might have been so excited to be in the lead that you drank yourself into sleep with that dog lastnight and rolled him over for a pillow! :chuckle: :chuckle:   ......Oh wait, that's not the case, the Pendletons still full!!! :)

Here's one for SBA, Crunchy snow made for some tough hunting today besides the full moon. Couldn't get any others to commit even though they were there. This guy even tried to sneak in. Had one more that came in and back out thru the only area we didn't have covered very well.

At least you killed one  VarmintV and I went out to a new ranch and after a couple of howls, we had one dog just come screaming in to the call. I thought VV was going to shoot and VV thought I had'em. We both tried to get glass on him but we was just a little late as the dog was only about 25 feet from us when he disappeared in the brush. 4 power scopes are just a bit too much when they are that close and runnin' straight at'cha. Next trip over there I'll be taking a shotgun or my 300 Fireball AR with an Aimpoint sight.

I usually don't hunt on the full moon phase but today was my last day off from work to hunt for a week  :'(
Checkin' wind and makin' smoke.
