OUCH !!
« on: October 04, 2009, 08:15:10 AM »
Well my muzzleloader deer season ended with a bang, was helping out my father-in-law put a roof on his shed, while waiting for the afternoon hunt, ladder sunk in the soft dirt and i fell about 6' on to my elbow and jammed my right shoulder pretty good ended up going to the hospital in colville thank goodness nothing broken just hammered it pretty good so now i'm in a sling.

Really hot the first couple days the woods up there are tinder dry they really need some rain. cougars and coyotes up there did see lots of deer mostly does with fawns,i couldn't get close enough to the two bucks we saw but they'll be there next yr( I hope ).

heard about a neighbor of my in-laws that killed 5 cougars this yr two off his front porch and one that was stalking him.they need to let people start hunting them with dogs again there getting way to many of them even around here(Washougal)

Did see a HUGE black bear tho !!!!!!!!!!!

your not suppose to be climbing on ladders. You need a secretary for that. I'm glad nothing is broken! I'm gonna guess that the ladder that grampa has, was NOT osha approved?

well, thanks for the scouting tip ;) He will have to wait till next years archery season. I can't hunt up there this year. I am not even stepping foot in the woods for deer here in WA until my wind river late buck hunt.
