I have one on my .338 WM.  Only had it on there one season.  Daylight hours, it looks like a normal heavy down to fine reticle.  In low light when you charge it, it looks awesome, but have not had a chance to use it yet.  I am kind of in the same boat.  Thinking of buying a Nikon for the .338 and putting this one on one of my deer rifles.
By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

I like the elite line. I have three, one is a firefly. It was on sale so I figured what the heck. I've only shot paper with it so the jury is still out. We'll see.

I've had one for a couple years, put it on the boys 7 Mag. Don't use the firefly ever, but its there if you need it. It'd be perty handy varmit huntin. The rain guard is worth keeping it on IMO.
