Talked to the authorities you can't get back and forth from Squaw rock unless you have a drivers license with an address up Chinook.  they are holding strong on the dike being LOCAL traffic only, NO HUNTERS.  They figure the dike will last only about 5 weeks before it goes to crap.  they want to reduce the load on it so only allowing Local traffic.

Their trying to get the water out of peoples yards, houses and pastures. And off the loop rd as well.

I see elk hunters camped every year at the Oak Creek feeding station. If you want a fire it'd probably be out of the question though. Oak Creek rd just up from there has plenty of spots to camp right off the road. Heck, me or Bone would probably let let you camp in our front yards if you got nothing else.  Good luck coach. just herd that the hwy bypass is open to everyone, squaw rock is still an option to everyone if they want hook ups

Guess they closed it again today.  I would expect with the forecast and predictions of the raise in river it will be closed this weekend.
