Bobcat
« on: October 17, 2009, 07:45:38 PM »
I was sitting in my cabin last Sunday eating breakfast when this dude strolled by.

He wasn't in any hurry which gave me a chance to grab the MO-T camera (manually operated trail cam  ;) :P).  The flash on the glass washed out the color.   He was good sized, about equal to a large Labrador.

Damn! Too bad you didn't have a gun nearby. Large labs are pretty frickin big!

Never really thought about putting a Bobcat on the menu.

Anyone ever eat bobcat? I never have. I ate dog in Korea, tasted like chicken.LOL No, it really resembled bear.

A large lab would be over 100 pounds!!! Could you imagine a 100 pound bobcat :yike: :bdid:. That is like a small cougar with a short tail = killing machine. Wow what a sight, thanks for posting.

My lab is about 70 pounds and I would have guessed he was in that ballpark.  I'm not so sure now, from what I read they rarely reach 40 pounds.  I'm pretty sure that cat would have an easy time whooping my dog though.  I did get a good look at him as he took his time sniffing and looking inside of 50 feet from the window.  My wife and I both estimated he was about the size of our yellow Labrador.
