560 East end
« on: October 28, 2009, 11:08:01 AM »
:hello: Didn't even know there was a decent and active forum for WA big game huntin', cool!  8)

So how many of ya hunt the adams-trout lake area? Been all over that ground myself, from treeline to crossin the river down along the 90  :chuckle: In my opinion, from a kill rate perspective its one of the crappiest spots to hunt MF, but I love it. If ya find them your usually snout to nose  :yike:

We've been going up there since '99, MF, save for last season....special draw in another unit.

right on, we're generally tucked in just off the 88. See how the weather ends up this year, some of my family drove down that way the other day to check on camping options just in case we get pushed lower. As of right now its lookin like we'll have some wet ground most of the season.

we would set up camp by the gravel pit by Eckhart Point it's pretty high 4460', that's why we don't camp there any more, lost our tent to the snow in 05, and got snowed out 2 days after that monsoon of a first week in 06.
we know camp down by the 23 road

Yep that was a weird stretch of weather there. Wasn't '04 60 and balmy, '05 ya couldn't even get up the 88 or the 23? In '06 we broke camp the same day.

I never sat imaged the area till today, bored at work, some " **** I didn't know that was there" thoughts as I'm scanning across the area haha.

One random thing that cracks me up about that area is ya don't see sht for deer come October, its like a mass exodus, hell by elk season if ya mention in camp that you seen a deer track, its like ya might as well have said you saw bigfoot  :chuckle: Dunno where they all go, down by trout lake I guess.  :dunno:

My first year givin archery a try for deer, drew the late klick 3point min., I hope thats where they all migrate to.
