well my first muledeer hunt in washington turned out well. got invited by some friends to hunt in okanogan county. im very grateful to them for this experience. got a nice 5x5 on oct 18th was the third buck id seen that morning. the first 2 came down behind me while iwas taking a pee lol so i never got a shot one a nice 4pt and the other a little 2pt. so there i was cussing to myself lol. when about ten minutes later i look back and see this guy coming down the ridge. yes hes going on the wall. strut

Really nice buck and with great eyeguards too. He deserves a comfortable place on your wall to retire.

Nice work. Where abouts in the Okanogan? I hunted up there last weekend and connected on a nice WT. I'll get the story and pics up this week.

A couple years ago up in the bumping unit my boy and I and 2 friends had hiked a couple miles in and we stopped to relieve ourselfs just off the trail and we started talking and whatnot when this big 3 point jumped up not 50 yard from us and bolted!
That was the only Buck we saw all weekend.
SO JUST A REMINDER TO EVERYONE WHEN YOU HAVE YOUR WEAPON IN YOUR HAND, MAKE SURE YOU HAVE YOUR GUN CLOSE BY.

What Strut didn't say is that he was a big'ole SumBits! What was he? 197# on the hook at the butcher? Prolly 240# on the hoof. Thank God for Deer carts!
