Upwind, you could have shot.  Only duck was closed. Area 1 Canadas close on the 29th and re-open on Nov 7th. Beginning on the 7th, the rectangle area south of Stanwood is closed to Canads to protect the cacklers.

Glad to hear you guys enjoying skagit. It sucks major from when I used to chase them snows. Tooooo many stupid rules now. But I guess it was the city idiots that forced the change.    If a goose lands in the refuge, I would reccomend contacting dfg. When it would happen to us I would just call officer Lee up and let him know. But he is out for a while right now. Cause the first time a hugger sees you do it they are going to call the popo!!

I believe the change was forced from all the POS hunters out there blasting from the roofs of barns next to the road, jumping out of trucks and sluicing flocks and then there is the dike hunters that sail cripples into the reserve, and do not forget the tresspassers..

I welcome the changes! it has brought just a bit of civility to the white goose hunting..
WE ARE NOT RELATED !!!

Some of the changes may have helped stop some of the stupids, but not all. The old days of no dekes were great, as they do not decoy well. And shooting from a dike in the right conditions was fine, if they are 100 yds high its just plain stupid.
