FFL paperwork for muzzleloaders now?
« on: October 21, 2009, 04:33:15 PM »
So when did the state decide that a muzzleloader sale had to be done with the FFL paperwork?

I just tried to order a new ML through Cabelas and they said it had to be shipped to a FFL dealer.

I've got a giftcard, and a  $20 coupon with Cabelas. Figured I might score a new ML for cheap.

Not so cheap if you have to have the ML shipped to a FFL dealer or drive 150 miles round trip to buy it at Cabelas.

It hasn't changed, I would guess someone at Cabelas is misinformed.

I called Cabela's back last night and they still claim its a new law as of Jan. 1st 2009.

I tried to order the ML from a couple different on-line dealers and none of them had a problem shipping to Washington. None of them had heard of any "new" law concerning ML.

Cabelas's is pissing me off. I got the gift card because they screwed up at the Lacey store and didn't put all the merchandise in my bag when I left. I got home and was missing 2 boxes of ammo and a bino harness.

Bought a new CVA 50 cal and UPS dropped it off at the front door in July of this year, no problems.  Except for the UPS driver wanting my gun bad :chuckle:  Someone is missinformed :bash:

I purchased two Bighorns at Bob's in Longview and carried them out without paperwork in June.  In July bought 4 Knight Wolverines from out of state.................delivered to the front door by UPS.  No paperwork or other requirements.  Cabelas...or whoever the heck your asking there doesn't know what they are talking about.  Probably an Obama supporter...lol.   :chuckle:

what kind of muzzleloader is it?  if i can be converted into a cartridge gun it has to have a 4473 (gunpaper) filled out for it.  Example Thompson center's encore. this may be where they are getting confused.
