model 700 Remington Mountain Rifle in a .280....switched to a 139 gr. Hornady light magnum round this year.....very pleased

Both my son and I used my Rem 700 chambered for .270 with 130 gr Nosler BTs.  That rifle has killed 7 deer since I bought it.  5 of them died in their tracks.  The other two went less than 50 yards.
Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.  That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

I don't think it matters the shape and size of the little brass case that holds the powder that burns.  As long as it sends out that little piece of lead and hits the target, that's all that matters.  To me, this question is a fun one but one where we don't learn a lot.  I worry less about the size and shape of the powder holder and more about the object that actually makes contact with the animal.  Bullet design is 95% of it, in my opinion.   :dunno:
